If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

-2 Chronicles 7:14

About The Event

Historic. Entertaining. Inspiring.

It’s a 2 hour symphony concert. And a sing-a-long. It’s a patriotic educational event that goes from Massachusetts Bay to the Civil War, using music, reenactors, and audience participation, reviewing America’s history without ignoring its Christian influence. It’s all about reminding our fellow citizens of the things in our nation’s history that set us apart from the beginning.

Colonial and Civil War Reenactors will be camped out on Saturday and Sunday, eager to share their knowledge of our history through their stories, demonstrations, and music.

The performance part of the program starts with a Pilgrim, explaining life on the Mayflower and the first years on American soil. Then we highlight our Founding Fathers, including George Washington, who arrives on horseback to the cheers of colonial reenactors in the crowd. We conclude the brief vignettes by Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass, speaking to an audience filled with civil war reenactors.

WE HUMBLE OURSELVES CONCERT EVENT features a fife and drum corps to rouse us mid-way through the event, a salute to veterans, little children to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and then a finale where the entire audience and the choral group of 100 singers join their voices as the symphony orchestra plays Handel’s Messiah, “The Hallelujah Chorus.”

Our program is as American as it gets: with plenty of hot dogs and apple pie. There’s no admission fee and no parking fee; the experience will be priceless. It’s a good old-fashioned Pep Rally — meant to remind us about every good thing that has set our Nation apart for 239 years. It’s educational, inspiring and encouraging. The sing-a-long patriotic songs will rally our love for Country and the hymns will warm our hearts with love for God and love for neighbor.

You’ve never seen anything quite like this and yet, it comes from a verse that is older than our Nation:

“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

For all our differences, that’s something we probably could all agree on: that our Nation could use some healing. Let’s get back on course, the course that leads to truth, beauty and greatness. To become a part of this event, visit our  Get Involved page.
